The 12 x 6 metre pool with Roman steps is situated 50 metres from the house in a raised position accessed by wide steps from the gravelled forecourt, and is partially fenced off. The depth of the pool is 1.5 metres throughout.
Small children who are not able to swim would be at risk and would need to be supervised at all times.

The pool is saltwater, not chlorine, and is maintained weekly when in use from May to September. It has a surround of stone crazy paving set into lawns and edged on one side by a grassy bank with a variety of shrubs and trees. From the pool, there are stunning views of the surrounding countryside and the beautiful hilltop village of Montone. The site is officially noted on local maps as of special panoramic interest. The pool has its own outdoor shower, and sunbeds, umbrellas, garden furniture and some pool toys are provided. Its raised position and the addition of a laurel hedge around the perimeter and a background of trees, means that sunbathers and swimmers have total privacy and seclusion.

A new olive grove is being planted behind the pool area in spring 2016, and a pergola is planned for summer 2016. The lawns also provide plenty of space for outdoor eating and for play. When the pool is covered and not in use, this continues to be a spot that will draw guests who wish to sketch and paint the landscape, or read in peace and quiet.
