The main sitting room is to be found on the first floor, accessed via the internal staircase and also via the original external staircase, which creates a balcony for the room from which there is a superb view of the village and countryside. The high, beamed ceiling has a velux window, and the walls are washed in yellow, making this a very sunny room. There are two sofas, other occasional pieces of antique furniture, paintings and prints, and a large wood-burning stove in a raised position inside a stone fireplace. There is a 40″ television with DVD player, a built-in bookcase with a range of English language novels and local guide books, DVD library and board games.
